What I'm Doing Now

August 2018 - Present

REPLENISHMENT STAFF, REAL CANADIAN SUPERSTORE

Working on the floor, my job is to constantly move around items and make sure nothing is expired, damaged or where it shouldn't be. As well, I am tasked with helping customers locate items and providing the best customer service possible. In the short year, I have been able to create strong relations with many coworkers and my bosses, I am on a first-name basis with the many workers at Superstore and the feeling of togetherness is strong between our community.

December 2018 - Present

DIALYSIS VOLUNTEER, HUMBER RIVER HOSPITAL

With a passion for helping people, every Sunday I spend my evenings volunteering at the dialysis center located in the Humber River Hospital. My nights are usually spent talking with patients, getting them food, drinks or prescriptions. I am responsible for making sure they are comfortable, happy and safe during their appointments. I have been able to make amazing friendships with patients and their amazing families. At Humber, you always feel like family.

November 2019 - March 2020

NEUROSCIENCE COLLABORATIVE PROGRAM, UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

Every Monday I make my way downtown to the St. George campus of UofT to attend the Neurosci101 Collaborative Program. This is a free program hosted to high school students with a passion for learning and an interest in the human body. The amazing learning environment is one I feel most at home in. This program is a great introduction to the way university functions as it is fast-paced and covers large amounts of information  in a small amount of time.

February 2020 - June 2020

SCIENCE SCHOOL PROGRAM, ONTARIO SCIENCE CENTRE

This amazing program immerses students in a full science environment to ensure they have the resources available to learn as much as possible. The program acts just like a regular school for a whole semester and teaches courses at an above academic level to those that attend. My admiration for science led me to the program and my determination to learn got me enrolled for the February semester in 2020.
