GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE

A GSA within a Catholic school has its difficulties, adding in the all-male factor of Chaminade really puts the cherry on top of the sundae. Regardless of the environment, the Chaminade Gay Straight Alliance is a wonderful club which focuses on providing a safe space for members and non-members while also aiding in the fight against prejudice. Inclusivity is our main objective and as the head of the GSA I made the executive decision to extend our club to not only sexuality and gender but all forms of diversity - creating the new acronym "Gryphons Supporting Acceptance" which is based on the school mascot and the idea of acceptance above hatred.
