CREATING CHANGE

Driven by my desire to spread positive change in my community I do my best to take on projects which align with my passions. Many of these projects involve teaching youth, spreading the word of change and helping stop negative societal norms. However, my work is never done so new projects are constantly being added.

THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF CANNABIS

WAVE Youth Action Presentation

Working in allegiance with the WAVE Youth Action Leadership team, my leadership group and I were tasked with teaching the surrounding elementary students about a relevant issue the may experience. We decided to discuss the (then) recent change in legislature involving cannabis. I personally created the presentation as well as worked in the executive team to orchestrate the script and ideas we wanted to discuss with the students.

We ended up speaking in front of over three-hundred students (spread between about ten schools in the surrounding area). The groups we talked to were grade five and six classrooms who we found to be most impacted and least aware of the changing legislature.
